I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, - John 10:9

Through the Biblical Lens

FEATURED POST

Throughout Scripture, God often weaves meaning through symbols that appear small but carry profound spiritual significance. One of the most powerful examples is hyssop and the lamb in the bible, a connection that appears in two pivotal moments: the Passover in Egypt and the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Though separated by more than a thousand years, these events are deeply connected. Biblical scholars widely

recognize that the use of hyssop in both accounts forms a deliberate spiritual bridge, linking the Passover lamb in Exodus with Jesus, the Lamb of God, in the New Testament.

To appreciate this connection, we must first return to the night of the first Passover.

In Exodus 12, the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt. God was preparing to deliver them through the final plague, the death of the firstborn. Yet God provided a way of protection. Each household was instructed to sacrifice a lamb and mark their doorposts with its blood.
